In Frame by Frame, MENO HOME Studios partnered with SCAD Serve and The Good Future Design Alliance to tell a visually textured story of two generations discovering how a chair built by nature can transform their lives and promote a people and planet friendly future.

Process

The project involved coordinating a diverse group of students from various majors and concentrations, working collaboratively to produce stop-motion, 2D, and 3D animation with texture mapping. Pre-production and production overlapped as we developed the visual approach, experimented with techniques, and guided the team through each stage of the workflow.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Served as Project Manager and Writer, coordinating a team of students from diverse majors and concentrations.

  • Maintained main communication with the client (via Slack) to ensure deadlines and expectations were met.

  • Filmed behind-the-scenes content documenting the project’s progress.

  • Developed lesson plans to guide students and structure the project workflow.

Planning

  • Created a detailed shot list to guide animation and photography.

  • Developed the final presentation to showcase project outcomes.

  • Prepared the pitch deck for client review and approval.

  • Coordinated tasks and schedules for a multidisciplinary student team.
